The “Back Pain and Treatment Challenges” Workshop was held in Aksaray on October 11–12, 2025, organized in collaboration with Özel İnova Hospital and supported by the International Spine Society (ISS).

The event brought together more than 70 specialists from Istanbul, Izmir, Kayseri, Kırşehir, Kırıkkale, Niğde, Konya, and Aksaray — including neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, and physiotherapists — to discuss modern approaches in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal and hip-related pain.

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ersin Özeren emphasized the importance of multidisciplinary cooperation in addressing the increasing prevalence of back pain and the challenges in diagnosis and treatment.

Throughout the workshop, participants discussed topics such as:

  • Biomechanics and pain mechanisms

  • Diagnostic principles and imaging methods

  • Conservative treatment techniques including physiotherapy and pharmacotherapy

  • Lumbar disc pathologies and spine–hip interaction

  • Minimally invasive and surgical approaches

The scientific sessions concluded with a closing ceremony and a cultural visit to Ihlara Valley, highlighting the importance of combining academic collaboration with social engagement.
