Spinal Cases Council Online (SOKO) Program

The International Spine Society organizes a recurring monthly online webinar series featuring structured case-based discussions focused on specific spinal pathologies. Each session is dedicated to a particular topic selected by the society's councils, during which complex surgical cases are presented for in-depth analysis.

Experienced moderators guide the discussion, joined by designated panelists and active audience participants, who collectively engage in evidence-based debate. The discourse centers on critical evaluation of the surgical approach employed, exploration of alternative management strategies, reflection on key lessons learned, and consideration of supporting literature or personal institutional experience.

These SOKO sessions serve an important educational purpose, enabling early-career and novice spine surgeons to gain exposure to challenging and uncommon spinal pathology cases, foster critical thinking in surgical decision-making, and promote the exchange of multidisciplinary expertise in a collaborative academic environment.

We invite all those interested to participate to our webinars. Colleagues interested in contributing to the SOKO sessions by presenting complex surgical cases, serving as moderators, or participating as panelists/debaters are cordially invited to express their interest. Please direct inquiries to the organizing committee for further details on submission guidelines, selection criteria, and opportunities to engage in this collaborative educational platform.
